hallowe'en words

Hallowe'en Vocabulary.Where's the pumpkin?  It's ..........













How many pumpkins are there in the garage?

Nouns (sustantivos):

A ghost - fantasma
A skeleton - esqueleto
A skull - calavera
A spider - araña
A spider's web - telaraña
A witch - bruja
A witches cat - gato de bruja
A black cat - gato negro
A broomstick - escoba
A magic spell - hechizo
A Hallowe'en costume - disfraz de Hallowe'en 

Verbs:  To frighten/to scare - asustar
To dress-up - disfrazarse 

Adjectives: Scary, frightening, spooky - escalofriante, que da miedo.

"Trick or treat" - truco o trato.

A trick (noun) - un engaño, o una broma
To trick (verb) - engañar
A treat (noun)- un pequeño regalo
To treat (verb) - regalar 

Spell tambien es verbo - deletrear  

Example: How do you spell "skeleton"? S.K.E.L.E.T.O.N.
How do you spell your  name?

Follow Fran's instructions (sigue las instrucciones de Fran
and draw a Hallowe'en Monster. 

Draw(dibuja): a scary, green head and a round, fat, green body.  Draw two big, green legs with shorts and two green arms and gold braclets.  Draw a short, green tail.  Draw two small holes without eyes and a small green nose.  Draw short hair, no horns and no wings. Draw small white fangs and small ears.

Podemos usar el imperativo para dar instrucciones.  En lugar de decir "You draw" o "You follow these instructions", dicimos simplemente "Draw" (dibuja) o "Follow these instructions"(sigue).

body - cuerpo
leg - pierna
arm - brazo
shorts - pantalones cortos
hole - agujero
tail - cola
nose - nariz
hair - pelo
horn - cuerno
fang - colmillo
wing - ala
ear - oreja
